You might feel worthless to one person, but you are priceless to another. Don't ever forget your value. ~~~在某人面前，你或许会觉得自己一文不值，但在別人眼里，你或许就是无价之宝。所以任何时候都不要贬低自己。

 On March 17, I was talking with the headmistress of a kindergarten about several problems with stay-at- home children, mother education, junk food and nonsense games children had. I assigned several task to the headmistress.

 在QQ群里，经常有NGO问，如果去做，做什么才能符合我们的要求。

我无法准确地回答他们的问题，我只是说，你们做好自己正在做的事情，而且在博客里跟大家分享你所思所想所为就好。

但是这个分享的过程，也就是社区建设的理想模式，我还是可以提几点建议给大家，希望能够有所帮助。

1）完善自己社区的资料，个人资料，社区简介，社区最新发展等等。

2）介绍自己机构的发展历程，做过什么项目，取得了什么进展。

3）介绍完自己之后，就让我们关注现在，任何现在发生的事情，都可以在博客里跟大家分享，图片会增加身临其境的感受，现在进行时态，呵呵，你懂的。

4）最近在做的项目，可以建立项目，详细说明。让人一览无余，简单明了。

这几个建议，只是一个方向，每个人都是自己的特色，社区的建设，完全可以按照自己的喜好来设计，随便你如何，目的只有一个，就是加深我们之间的彼此了解，增加我们的亲和力，加大我们的合作力度。

 我们永远无法忘记那个黑色的5.12，更无法忘记那次瞬间的山崩地裂给汶川地区的人们在心灵深处留下的伤痛。只是灾难太多，太频繁-----2010年，所有的中国人再次被玉树地震震撼的时候，我们的眼前又多了两个字——玉树! 于是，所有人的目光都转向了玉树。

   人们渐渐淡忘了在汶川县卧龙特区的大山深处，还有一些需要我们继续关注和帮助的人们！

重灾区之一的卧龙自然保护区是珍稀物种大熊猫的繁殖栖息地，也是国家一级、二级动植物保护基地。不仅风景优美，而且拥有丰富的国家级珍稀动植物资源。为了使区内的自然资源和生态环境得以保护，没有人愿意去滥砍乱伐。当地百姓唯一经济来源就是以种菜卖菜维持生计。地震后因山上的植被严重受损，次生灾害尤为严重，在这次条灾害频繁的山间小路上，随时都会有松动的山体滑坡和洪水灾害，道路时时被中断，百姓种出的蔬菜无法顺利运送到城市出售。经济收入的严重不稳定，从而导致了大多数的村民生活变得更加困难。在这条唯一可以连接外面生命线上，我们每次的出入都不知道会有什么样的危险，但我们还是希望能尽力帮助到那些急需帮助救援的人们，帮助他们早日开始新的生活。

这三年多来，我们熊猫爱心接力小组一直都在通过各种渠道在努力。希望能呼吁更多的志愿者来关注和帮助这些弱势群体。要知道伸出您的援助之手不仅帮助了需要帮助的人们，也保护了区内的珍稀动植物。相信有了您的帮助，那里的人们生活会更快好转，到那时，我们可以一起更好的帮助哪些需要帮助的动植物们。保护大自然，也是保护了人类的生存环境，让我们共同努力从这里开始吧……

It is so exciting that Shalom Love Leprosy Service has been promoted as a Strategic Partner. It is not only a glory but a responsibility for the Shalom team. Our goals include how to better portray our image in the process of serving leprosy patients, how to offer effective help, and how to be open, transparent, normative, and efficient during the work of Shalom Love Leprosy Service. I hope the work of the Shalom team can get the positive affirmation of Transparent Fish Fund and more friends. We are thankful for Transparent Fish Fund’s trust and help.

The Good News of the Recovered Patients Appreciation

On April 15, Ping Liang and volunteers changed a medical prescription of the US- Medihoney for five patients who had serious ulcers in Zhushan and Yangjuangou of Yiliang. On April 23, Liang Ping and volunteers returned the five patients to their village. They offered drinking water to the patients, and meanwhile they focused on examining the condition of the patients.

The results excited everyone. The five anabrosis patients were smelly and sore, and sometimes they had fever before using the U.S. medicine. But now the feeling of severe pain was relieved. The pain disappeared by the fifth day and they never had fever. The ulcer area had shrunk and some wounds had grown new granulation tissue. The recovered patients who took the medicine were positive of the effect of the medicine and hoped we could continue to offer help until their ulcer was completely cured.

Due to the restriction of drug sources, we can only help those patients in Zhushan, Yangjuangou, and Aziying in Kunming. We are going to offer help in hope that their wounds can be completely cured.

 On Friday a team of American scientists began a weeklong trek to the base of Mt. Everest where they will remain for at least a month to study the effects of high altitudes on humans. The researchers, from the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, will monitor nine climbers at altitude in hopes of gaining insight into human ailments like heart disease.

Lung congestion often kills climbers.

The nine climbers will be monitored as they ascend toward Everest’s peak at 29,035 ft. (8,850 m). Reuters reports:

Sometimes we keep our heads down too much that we forget what it is like to look up. 有时候，我们把头埋得太低，竟都忘了抬头能看到怎样一番景象。

 Haizhe is a pretty Hui little girl; her home is in ZhangJiaoChuan Hui autonomous county, Gansu province. Their house is especially remote; getting water requires carrying a bucket of water and goingr three hours over mountain roads. Her mother was still working the day before giving birth to HaiZhe. The birth of HaiZhe brought this remote and poor family a lot of joy. She has always been a clever child; every time her parents had a quarrel, HaiZhe would bring her father and mother's hands together and say: "come on, already had two children, still fighting?" Mom and dad always laugh due to her comments. Mother said that, before the couple would fight, but after her daughter was born they never fought. But as HaiZhe grew up, she got sick more often, and after a cold, doctors found out that she was suffering from congenital heart disease. The news broke the family’s quiet life, and in order treat the illness, her mom and dad began to take turns to work in Xinjiang, because they wanted to leave someone home to take care of the paralyzed grandpa. They are not educated and they can only do heavy physical work to live, with a low salary. Two years ago, the village committee let the family register and said that the civil affairs bureau would sponsor the congenital heart disease children’s surgery. The father quickly applied, but two years later, the civil affairs bureau application still did not reply. Her dad really could not trust it this year, so he brought HaiZhe again for recheck and found that the lacking space in the heart chamber is much bigger. Their doctor told them come to find Little Red Scarf, and after they were introduced to each other, her dad said: "I wanted to wait for the children civil affairs relief of the disease before, but the child’s condition is getting worse and worse. If Little Red Scarf can give us a hand, then I have made up my mind for the operation." The day before the operation, Haizhe holds her mother's neck and said: "Mom, don't worry. Your health is not good and you should not worry at all. I’ll be all good after the surgery." During the three hour operation time, her mom fainted two times. She often thought of the child’s comforting words for her, but she is afraid of losing this lovely little angel. Her mom and dad are in the hospital taking care HaiZhe, and at home, the 12 year old brother has to take care the grandfather in bed. Every night in the hospital, her the dad had to sleep on the floor, he said: "To hire a bed each night costs 20 yuan, this 20 yuan is enough for the three people’s meals.” They survived these 10 days with much calculations, when HaiZhe was about to discharged from the hospital, the whole family was really happy. HaiZhe said: "thank you to the Little Red Scarf uncles and aunts who gave me this healthy heart.  We welcome them to come to our home to visit." How lovely the angel is. Just by looking at her, her parents feel happy no matter how tired they are!

 On March 2nd, I arrived in Nanjing; on the 3rd, I had a class to teach; on the 4th, I left early in the morning to fly to ChengDu. Coming out of the ShuangLiu airport, it was raining really hard, yet I still had to run to the train station to buy a ticket to NanChong. Somehow, I managed to purchase a ticket, however there were no seats remaining for her on the train. I was slightly frustrated, and didn't wish to eat anything at noon. And since I had luggage on me, it was inconvenient to go outside, so I just found an empty chair indoors and started reading. 

 I had planned activities for this festival over a month ago.

借着这个感觉，想想说天气不错，可以出去找朋友宣传下透明鱼和小红巾~于是我带上了透明鱼宣传手册和几个口罩就出了门，刚刚除了门就碰到了我的邻居，他们刚刚要带孩子出去玩，恰恰先前我也曾经向这两个人邀请加入我们透明鱼俱乐部，只是上次时间的关系还没有向他们介绍透明鱼和小红巾，这次我可不能错过这个好机会，我们寒暄了几句，我便直接步入主题，我对他们说借用你们几分钟的时间，跟你讲讲我们透明鱼是做什么的，透明鱼在中国怎么运作，透明鱼基金是什么，我们怎么帮助中国的公益组织等等，在给他们做宣传的时候，他们很仔细的听，而且爸爸还会问很多关于透明鱼是怎样帮助NGO做信息透明和财务透明的，这下我可发挥了我的实力，把上次在透明鱼基金大会的后台支持计划简单的向他们做了讲述，他们觉得像我们这样很严格并且福利很好的的基金会真的是太少了，他们觉得他们也要帮助我们宣传我们透明鱼，而且还表示会向我们介绍更多的草根NGO。

刚出门，就做了一个宣传，心情很好，很开心，之后继续向路人和一些朋友做关于透明鱼和小红巾的宣传，一个下午很快就过去了，但是觉得过了一个很充实的周六，要给自己加油打气！ 吼吼~

 昨天下午2点带着激动的心情去了北京儿童医院，去探访中国血友之家支持的小孩子-小守浩。

路上大约花了有30分钟的时间，我就到了医院，和血友之家的工作人员尹路取得联系，之后我们就去到了小守浩的看护室里，因为时间有限，并且探访的人只能一个一个进去，所以尹路先进去拍了几张照片，并且也和主治医生聊了一下关于小守浩目前的回复情况，主治医生说，可能目前还是需要在继续输液，还要看护一段时间，我听医生讲，小守浩的妈妈每天不管能不能见到自己的孩子，从医院一开门早上就开始站在外面等待，期待见到自己的孩子，几乎每天都如此，每天晚上到孩子睡觉后才离去，这也真是让我感受到了妈妈对自己骨肉的心态，很感动。

之后，我便进去见到小守浩后，他很乖巧的叫我一声哥哥好，以前听她妈妈讲小守浩说话都听不清楚，只能依稀地听见他讲爸爸，妈妈，其他的都听不清楚，现在手术后，他讲话已经很清楚了，看来手术确实很成功！ 我也和小守浩的妈妈简单的聊了几句，因为护士一直在催（感觉里面的护士真的好凶猛，但我是可以理解她们的）所以，我就简单的和他们照了几张照片，并且顺便给他们介绍小红巾和透明鱼，而且还给了他们母女俩一人一个口罩，告知他们目前空气污染的严重性，他们都很开心！

这次探访让我感受到了公益好朋友的支持，感受到了母爱的伟大， 感受到了还有更多的孩子需要我们去关心和爱护！ 

小守浩的微笑也给我留下了深刻的印象！

 今天上午看了很多关于NGO的新闻，继续翻译，互动，下午去了趟医院做探访，很充实的一天！

  在村寨路口，我们随处可以看到一个四、五岁的孩子背着比他小一、二岁的弟弟或妹妹，在路边玩耍，他们的玩具或许是柴草棍棒，或许是泥土沙石。也有一些稍大的孩子没有到学校去上学，而是跟着大人下地去干农活。这样的情况在凉山一些贫困的家庭里还有一定的比率。

大凉山中国西部山脉。在四川西南凉山彝族自治州内，是大雪山的支脉。东北-西南走向。海拔2,000∼3,500公尺，个别高峰近4,000公尺。山地西侧美姑、昭觉一带为山原，丘陵起伏，顶部浑圆平坦，林牧业发达。东南侧为金沙江谷地，河谷深切，地面破碎。大风顶一带为大熊猫分布区。已建立自然保护区。大凉山为彝族聚居地区。

而凉山彝族是彝族中最大的一个支系，人口有2百多万，分布在凉山彝族自治州及其周边地区。改革开放以来，凉山在经济文化各个方面取得巨大成就的同时，也出现了一些新的社会问题，特别是毒品和艾滋病已经对凉山发展构成严重威胁。

这些孩子严重缺乏食物和营养，基本生活没有保障，因为缺乏营养而死亡的现象不断发生;儿童过早承担繁重体力劳动，身心遭受严重摧残;孤儿失学、辍学现象比较普遍;大多数孤儿生病得不到医治，有部分孤儿居住濒临倒塌的危房中;进入城市流浪的儿童越来越多。

 Ms. Zhou focuses on mental and psychological counseling for woman in the rural areas. In this article, she talks about her experience giving a lecture at QianXi Teachers' Education. 

Even though I was very stressed because of all the things I had to deal with, I agreed anyway to join QianXi Teachers’ Education.

This is my first experience training teachers who are actually the teachers of other local teachers. There was a total of 50 people. Some of the prerequisites for this Education Training were "mental health knowledge and interpersonal communication skills".

The course definitely pressed me on time, because I already had a lot to prepare for the Nanjing lectures and the activities on March 8th in Nanchang city.

I spoke for a total of two hours. Two hours which I practically did not get to walk around. Two hours where 50 eyes were always glued on me. Two hours where I wasn’t even allowed a couple minutes of rest.

After the meeting concluded, some of the leaders offered some inspirational feedback, “This lecture will be a milestone for QianXi education history; it is of great significance and of great impact to our QianXi education!" One of the principals said, "This is just the knowledge that we want—the details, truths, principles, and individual stories were able to be deeply understood. It quenched our thirst!" Trade union chairman said, "If you look into the future, this education will ultimately bring you a job, reward you with a happy live, and a chance to be seen as a role model for all the teachers of this county." A male teacher said, "From now on, I will help my wife with some household chores, and never again will I have to care about those little, trivial things..."

It seems like this lecture blessed me with a lot of work. The Bureau leaders also said that they would work to further promote mental health education, and they hope to schedule appointments to have some deep discussions with me.

Although they weren’t able to help me with financial aid, but the dinner was excellent. Thirteen different leaders ate with me! I know I can’t control too much; I only know how to lecture, and I’m going to do what I should do, that’s it.

Winter break went by very quickly. March 1, the school district where Light of Love works had its first school day. Throughout the holiday, the Light of Love team’s helped putting a smile on many underprivileged students. This year, there are 55 children whose lunch is provide by the Transparent Fish Fund. 

When the school started, the staff told this good news to the children, whose faces were full of joy and happiness. They no longer had to eat cold food, potatoes, and rice dipped in spicy sauce every day. The school district assigned paper work for the lunch program in addition to preparation for the beginning of the semester. Although the teachers were kept very busy, seeing the children’s happiness it made each one of them as well as the Light of Love staffers very happy.

Being caught off guard lunch

Yesterday the funds had not arrived yet, but volunteers and staffers at Light of Love still wanted to get the kids to eat the first "love lunch." After cooking for the kids, they realized that there are many more students than before. Because of the short notice, the teachers and staffers decided to let the kids eat first. The staff had a lot of fun just seeing how much the kids enjoyed the food. Then all the teachers ate noodles. Yesterday, there were also a lot of parents. They were quite happy. The Light of Love community feels grateful for everyone’s help. 

Changing the Way Students Eat at School

Due to an increase in the number of students eating at school this semester, it becomes necessary to make some changes. If the program continued our original setup (in which every table is set up beforehand) of lunch, it will take a long time (due to rural school funds limited, it is not possible to ask more of workers for students service). Sometimes the early dishes would get cold before the students arrive. Students are waiting too long. Our dining room too narrow. To deal with this problem, staff and volunteers purchased more plates and utensils. After school, students will line up to get their food by class number, and teacher will help them get the lunch. Today is the first day this new practice has been installed. The children are very polite; no one cut in line; there was no bickering between them.

 今天是成立透明鱼俱乐部的头一天，原本是打算在这周六星巴克咖啡厅举行，因为昨天妈妈的志愿者团队人数（各种姐姐，阿姨 ）比较齐全，妈妈建议就先在家里举行，一个是时间上的关系太赶，而且在家比较方便，好吧！我们就开始了。

先开始我跟大家介绍了3个问题，分别是：

1.透明鱼网络社区是什么？主要目标是什么？

2.在向大家介绍透明鱼公益实验室在中国做什么？

3.接着向大家介绍透明鱼基金是什么？（跟大家也讲述了财务透明，信息透明的重要性）

感想（feelings)

我觉得在我向大家介绍透明鱼的时候，大家的眼神，表情都很投入，这让我感受到了我们做公益得到了他人的尊重！其次，他们的问题和想法，也让我感觉到他们真的很认真的想要帮助我们，想让中国的公益事业得到好的影响，和专业化。不过，在我给大家讲述关于公益事业上的问题的时候，也明显感觉到书到用时，方恨少，自己还要多多努力去学习，去实践！

 昨晚碰到我的好朋友小雪，给了她两个口罩，并且跟她讲述了有关北京空气污染的问题，刚开始她都不明白为什么现在有越来越多的人开始关注p.m.2.5 空气质量，昨天给她上了一课，她觉得现在有很多人都还是不重视这个空气质量，真的会导致我们得病，她也认识到了严重性，她也表示要当我们的志愿者来帮忙发口罩！

 今天参观了微软大厦~ 谢谢顾老师在百忙之中邀请我们， 受益匪浅！
